What is TRevPAR?

Total Revenue Per Available Room (TRevPAR) measures all revenue generated per available room, including non-room revenue like food and beverage, spa, and other services.

TRevPAR is an evolution of RevPAR that acknowledges hotels are more than just room sellers. It includes revenue from food and beverage outlets, laundry services, guest services, conference facilities, and any other income streams. This makes it particularly useful for resorts and full-service hotels where non-room revenue is significant.

How to calculate TRevPAR

TRevPAR = Total Hotel Revenue / Total Available Rooms

Example

A 100-room hotel generates $12,000 in total revenue (rooms + restaurant + laundry + other) on a given day. TRevPAR = $12,000 / 100 = $120.

Why TRevPAR matters

RevPAR only considers room revenue, but many hotels earn 30-50% of their income from other sources. TRevPAR captures the full picture — a hotel with a strong restaurant or active laundry service generates more total revenue per room than one that only sells beds.
